Who am I?

In case it hasn't been mentioned anywhere yet: my name is Manuel Meier and I'm 20 years old. After finishing my apprenticeship as an electronics technician in summer 2013, I'm taking a gap year before I start studying – and it's exactly in gap years like this that some people come up with crazy ideas. In my case it was a bicycle tour…
In my free time I'm often in the mountains (hiking, mountaineering and ski touring) and – no surprise – on the bicycle. Another big hobby of mine is leading a youth group.

My trademark is my body height: almost exactly 2 m (6′7″) from head to toe. On a bicycle tour that's quite a challenge, especially when it comes to finding equipment that fits…
