12. P. Orford - Lakeside

Today it all was less about landscapes and more about cycling. I started very well and with a little bit of trail wind. Already before 10am I reached the 30mi mark! Only bad thing was that I felt pain in my right leg from the first minute on. I really hope it is nothing bad - the next days will show...

Since I also had a very high average speed, I mad very good progress and the only reason for not doing 100mi+ today were my extensive stays at MCD and in a supermarket.

Moreover I was responsible for a traffic jam today: On the long bridge north of Coos Bay a school bus driver refused to overtake me and caused a huge queue of cars. Only after I lifted my very heavy bike onto the sidewalk the driver finally passed by and the cars started to move on normal speed again. That was definitely an uncomftable experience...

Now I hope my leg recovers in the night so that I can continue my trip tomorrow - before it starts to rain on saturday :(
