31. Courtenay - Quadra Island

Today I worked on short time: I cycled up to the last place with warmshowers.org-hosts on the island.

Along the sea (which is more like a lake around here) the road led me up to Campbell River where I arrived around noon already. Afterwards I went for a short food-shoppingtour and took the ferry to Quadra Island at 2:45pm.

Here I stay another two nights in the very nice home of a retired couple before I finally REALLY hit the road again.

That's how my (provisional) further programm looks like:

• June 4th Day off


• June 5th & 6th 250km ride to Port Hardy


• June 7th spare day / 6pm departure with the ferry


• June 8th 4pm arrival Prince Rupert & approx. 40km riding


• June 9th 130km ride to a special host


• June 10th & 11th stay at special hosts place


• from june 12th to approx june 25th 1300km ride up to Whitehorse - in the wilderness for the biggest part

This means there is more "contentful stuff" to come soon. But I probably wont be able to update this page daily due to the lack of civilisation.
