1. San Francisco - Pt. Reyes St.
3, 2, 1, Go!
It was a special feeling, to finally cross the Golden Gate Bridge and despite the fact that I already had 50 Miles on my counter was this the real start to my adventure.
The bridge was covered in fog and the bike-trail surprisingly busy. After the bridge I stayed on the bike trails through some nice village-like areas, when suddenly a cyclist started some smalltalk. Only a few minutes later I was sitting at his kitchen table and having lunch with him - I like America!
His name was James Bogin, working as a Capital Manager and his house was very nice situated in the green hills 20miles outside of SF. Thanks again, James!
After a pretty steep hill (the second most difficult one on the first 400 miles) I finally reached Pt. Reyes Station where I enjoyed one half of an amazingly grilled chicken. After finding out that the local campground wanted to charge me 47$ for a one-man-tent without car, I went out for my first (probably not really legal) wild camping...
Today was not a fast one. Besides 7miles SF-town-traffic it was the wind that slowed me down.
