33. Quadra - Woss
Wind and hills: A Deja-vu
After seeing the weather-forecast (40-60km/h headwind) I decided to leave early this morning. Diana, my very nice host of the past two nights, got up early just to cook a big breakfast for me. Thanks again for hosting me and all the good food!
After taking the ferry back to Campbell River, I started to cycle towards Port Hardy. I wanted to do at least half of the 250km today. But the wind set in very early and in combination with the hills it was hard work to get ahead. Fortunately I already had plenty experiences with these conditions and knew, that I just need to stay patient and not fight against the wind and loose too much energy.
So I made my way slowly over all the mountains and just after I reached the goal in terms of distance, I found a nice abandoned timber road and set up my camp there.
