8. Ferndale - Trinidad

Today I started fast - very fast: At 10:40 I already reached 30 miles on my counter! After crossing the unspectacular cities of Eureka, Arcata and McKinleyville I went back to the coast. At 2pm I already reached Patricks Point State Park, my campground for today.
The park Ranger couldn't believe, that I already came all the way from Ferndale and gave me the HIke&Bike-Section, which is probably the biggest one of its kind in the whole state of California! Easily 10 tents would fit in this spot! The area itself was beautiful as well and I enjoyed an amazing sunset over the pacific. In combination with the rocks and the waves I was able to take some very nice pictures
